a woman coming out of the water representing embodiment

Your body I s Sacred

But for many of us raised under Christian patriarchy, that’s not what we were taught. We were told our bodies were dangerous and led others into sin.   We were taught to disconnect, to ignore our needs, to prioritize control over compassion.

This disconnection isn’t accidental—they know a silenced body doesn’t push back.

A body you’re ashamed of is a body you don’t trust enough to challenge what they say about yout.

Reclaiming your body is a sacred act of resistance, and it’s time.

Your Body Was Never The Problem

Embodiment isn’t just about movement or mindfulness—it’s about coming home to yourself. It’s the slow, intentional practice of listening to your body’s wisdom instead of overriding it. It’s noticing what you feel, how you breathe, where you hold tension or emotion.

Your body holds stories—some of them passed down, some of them born from your own lived experiences. Embodiment is the practice of being present enough to hear them.

Reclaiming your body can look like:

  • Resting when you’re tired—without guilt

  • Moving in ways that feel good, not punishing

  • Noticing how emotions show up in your body

  • Setting boundaries your body has been begging for

  • Offering tenderness to the parts of yourself you were told to hide

Embodiment is not about perfection. It’s not about being confident every moment or loving every inch of your body. It’s about creating a relationship with your body that is rooted in care, trust, and presence.
